Labels

Just today I was reading an article by Dhirendra Kumar, CEO, Value Research, entitled “Just a brand”  published on “Financial Planning” page of ET Investor’s Guide” a supplementary ot the “Economic Times” dated July 13, 2009.

The writer is warning investors about how mutual funds are attracting them by labeling their new fund offers as “Infrastructure Fund” . He thinks that they are no better or worse than “General Funds”.

A blog is a blog whether it is ‘Just another “WordPress blog” or a ” Blogger’s blog”.  But we like labeling ourselfves and encourage others to identify themselves by naming or any other self-differenting action.

In one country where a Sardarji was Prime Minister chose to spend lakh crores of rupees in giving identify number to each of the person situated in that country. This kind of expenditure will boost IT sector in particular and the sector will help Singh, the King to pass on lakhs of crores of rupees directly to the banks accounts of  BPL(Below the Poverty Line) families, and where from he will get that much of money by ordering the Federal Reserve Bank of that country, where he had been the Chief Executive Officer, before he became the King, to print notes worth 4 lakh crores. This will help print industry and banks. What is the idea behind this?  To fight depression, the whole world is printing currency, why can’t we? Has not Keyenese said that.
